This July, British singer/songwriter and surfer, Ben Howard will be gracing out shores. His 2011 platinum selling debut album “Every Kingdom” saw him surface as one of the UK’s best upcoming acts.
With his record still circling internationally, Howard is on the books for Byron Bay’s Splendour in the grass, along with his own sideshows throughout the country. In his latest work you hear the scratching of strings, the movements of his fingers and the occasional strain in his voice. This is what makes his folk-acoustic songs perfect: their imperfection. His music is raw, and it is honest.
If you get to see Ben Howard live this year, his lyrically driven songs and infectious on-stage presence will leave you captivated. Nevertheless his highly anticipated sophomore album is to be released later this year and is one to look out for. We predict a slightly altered, more ambient sound.
