Foo Fighters Bring Their Take Cover Tour to Australia and New Zealand

Foo Fighters are coming back Down Under. The rock heavyweights have locked in their Take Cover Tour, a run of stadium shows rolling across Australia and New Zealand from November 2026 into the new year, in support of their new album, Your Favorite Toy.

Your Favorite Toy, the band's twelfth studio album, landed in April to a wave of strong reviews, with Rolling Stone hailing it among the most powerful music the band has made and four- and five-star notices rolling in from MOJO, musicOMH and Louder.

Speaking to Classic Rock, frontman Dave Grohl described the sessions as the most fun the band has had making a record in years, saying they went in with “no rules, no pressure” and simply chased the joy of plugging in. Guitarist Chris Shiflett framed the record as a reminder of why the band started in the first place.

The release capped a busy few months, with singles “All of the People,” “Caught in the Echo” and the album's title track leading the charge, backed by a run of live sessions and TV appearances across the UK and beyond.

And this is no ordinary support bill. Personally curated by the band, 16 of Australia and New Zealand's most exciting rising acts will share the stage across the run, two to a show, so every date delivers from the very first note. Keep an eye out for Frankston's own The Belair Lip Bombs, who feature on both the Sydney and Melbourne bills.

A Formidable Live Force

Foo Fighters remain one of the most formidable live bands on the planet, famous for marathon, hit-packed sets, and the numbers back it up, with more than 1.8 million records sold in Australia and nine #1 albums to their name. Their history-making show in Tasmania this January was the biggest concert ever staged in the state, so with tickets already on sale, fans are urged to move fast.
