Mornington Winter Music Festival Warms Up the King's Birthday Weekend

Winter on the Peninsula is about to get a whole lot warmer. The Mornington Winter Music Festival returns for its 12th year over the King's Birthday long weekend, from Friday 5 to Monday 8 June, filling the town's street corners, bars and restaurants with live music.

The program leans into jazz, blues, soul and R&B, both traditional and modern, across a sprawling lineup of local and touring acts. Main Street itself closes to traffic between the Esplanade and Barkly Street on Sunday 7 June, from 7am to 8pm, handing the heart of town over to the music.

Featured artists include Ben Mastwyk & His Millions, the Marty Rose Band, Nick Charles & Mick Pealing, the Down South Big Band, Whisky Gypsies, Hoodoo Mayhem and Eve Ward, alongside community choirs, school bands and roving performers. Dozens of acts are spread across the weekend.

Come for a night, stay for the weekend: with venues and street stages running right through, there's something for every kind of music lover. Full venue and street programs are available via the festival website.
