Chocolate Starfish Bring the Hits to the Peninsula Beer Garden
By PEARL HQ
The Peninsula Beer Garden is in for a big Sunday afternoon. Chocolate Starfish, one of Australia's best-loved live rock bands, bring their show to the venue's Velvet Lounge in Boneo on Sunday 28 June, with doors from 2pm and the band on from 3pm.
The Chockies powered onto the Australian scene in the early 1990s and quickly became a force, thanks to their cover of Carly Simon's 'You're So Vain', the original hit 'Mountain' and the enduring favourite 'Four Letter Word'. Two Top 10 albums, six Top 50 singles and a 1994 ARIA Award for Most Popular Australian Album followed, cementing their reputation as one of the country's finest live acts of the decade.
Decades on, that reputation still holds. Known affectionately as the Chockies or the Fish, the band have spent recent years taking stages by storm through Red Hot Summer Tours, Rock the Boat residencies and their Classic Album Series shows. Expect pure, high-energy entertainment and, in true Chockie style, a few surprises along the way.
It's an easy, up-close way to catch a genuine Australian rock institution right on the Peninsula's doorstep.
