As we crawl out from the hangover brought on by back to back massive shows by post-punk partiers DZ Deathrays and metalcore legends in the making Northlane, Urban Spread is extremely excited to announce the next gang of artists who will be joining us for our fourth installment that hits Chelsea heights Hotel next Friday July 31.
The Delta Riggs, My Echo, and The VANNS will be taking over The Chelsea Heights Hotel and stuffing the night with more sweet tunes, tight pants and party fun times than you can shake a stick at.
Melbourne based rockers The Delta Riggs have been bringing their explosive live shows to punters all around the world, most recently kicking out the jams around Australia at Groovin The Moo. Their high energy performances have seen them headhunted by Kasabian and Foo Fighters as supports for their recent Australian tours; and legendary Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page even stopped by one of The Delta Riggs’ London shows- you can’t buy an endorsement better than that. When they tear in to Urban Spread, the boys will be fresh off the Splendour Bender Weekender (Splendour In the Grass) and ready to deliver some of their wildest shows yet.
Fellow Melbourneites My Echo walk the line between punk and good old fashioned rock n roll, and have a killer time doing it. Their churning, sweaty gigs have become the stuff of legend, and their stellar efforts supporting melodic punks Jimmy Eat World and good mates Kingswood have widened their already growing exposure. Miss them at your own peril.
Hailing from the New South Wales town of Kiama, The VANNS burst from the shadows of their rusty farm shed two years ago to deliver an infectious mash of blues and indie rock. The straight up chillers will provide the sounds, you provide the vibes.
As always, our Urban Spread tastemaker DJs will be spinning all things loud in- between & after the bands are done to keep you partying on into the wee hours. The Delta Riggs, My Echo and The VANNS next Friday July 31 from 8pm. Tickets start from $22 and are available from the venue or Moshtix.
