Jack White has released his second solo album, Lazaretto and it’s an album for the vintage Jack White fan.
Lazaretto has all the typical Jack White characteristics you’ve come to know and love. Funky guitar riffs with those bluesy overtones, charismatic drumbeats that pave the way for those one-of-a-kind guitar solos that expel that trademark Jack White sound.
What’s better than a fresh Jack White album straight off the press? One could argue not much but this would be untrue. Albeit there’s definitely promise in this current solitary venture, there’s still no forgetting the brilliance he once concocted.
Listening to songs like ‘High Ball Stepper’ and ‘That Black Bat Licorice’ raises nostalgic memories of times gone by. White Stripes times. But it’s time to move on. It’s obvious Jack White has.
