Rockabilly, rhythm & blues with plenty of ‘oomph’ are great words to describe high octane 50s, 60s rock‘n’roll, and that’s just what fans will get this week at Sunday Soultrain when Itchy Fingers make their return.
This tight four-piece rockin’ outfit featuring Domenic Raso on lead guitar/vocals, Robert Monea, rhythm guitar, harmonica/vocals, Steve Virgona on double bass/vocals and Emmanuel Cushieri on drums, have amassed a huge fan base earning them enormous respect within the industry during their massive 20 years of gigging together.
It’s little wonder that Itchy Fingers brand of playing has won them multiple awards at Wintersun festival, seen them gigging Australia wide and are one of the busiest bands from Melbourne. Recently the boys had the pleasure of being Wanda Jackson’s backing band for her three Australian Tours.
With influences from Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, to Blues artists like B.B. King, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Fabulous Thunderbirds, Itchy Fingers are guaranteed to please any crowd and will have you up bopping and dancing all night.
