Exciting rockabilly trio The Infernos are bringing a burning new energy in the Australian music scene with their unique ‘pommiebilly’ sound. Local music and dance fans are in for a real treat when The Infernos finally make the trip ‘Down South’ to Sunday Soultrain at Davey’s Hotel in Frankston on September 4.
Citing influences from The Deltas, The Polecats, Restless and The Jets. The Infernos repertoire is a smokin’ hot bag of original songs and obscure covers performed with a modern day energy and fiery attitude.
UK lead singer/songwriter/bassist Don Wycherley played with various UK bands before forming The Infernos with guitarist Rob Citroni and drummer David Rogers and deciding to hit the Australian rockabilly scene with their 80s influenced neo-rockabilly.
With this classic three-piece set up, The Infernos can be seen and heard playing their style of up-tempo, back-beat-driven rockabilly at festivals and major events all around the country.
Since their inception, the trio have released two albums “On Fire” in 2011 and their most recent “Still Fired Up” which has rocketed them into the limelight attracting rave reviews, radio airplay and full houses at all their shows.
The Infernos have the songs, the energy, and most of all – they have the right attitude. See for yourself when The Infernos bring their rockabilly rage to Davey’s for Sunday Soultrain from 3pm on September 4.
