The Croxton Park Hotel explodes Queens Birthday with a triple bill of Oz Rock Royalty bringing together the music of Australian Rock’s biggest acts, Cold Chisel, Divinyls and the mighty Midnight Oil.  Australia’s most renowned tribute bands Gold Chisel, The Midnight Oil Show and Temperamental: A Tribute to Chrissy Amphlett, come together in one super concert at one of Melbourne’s largest inner-city live music venues… The Croc.

Cold Chisel we’re unquestionably one of the finest and most respected rock groups in Australian history. The songs of Cold Chisel helped to form part of what we like to call “The Great Australian Soundtrack”, with many of them being best described as Australian Rock Anthems. It is with great pride that as Australian musicians, GOLD CHISEL can take these songs across Australia and allow many Aussies to relive the memories, and at the same time introduce these timeless classics to a whole new generation.

Midnight Oil were more than just a rock & roll band. From the northern beaches of Sydney to the streets of Manhattan, they stopped traffic, inflamed passions, inspired fans, challenged concepts and broke new ground. To see Midnight Oil in full flight was to experience the full visceral, transcendent, kinetic power of live rock & roll. Bringing Back The Oils – The Midnight Oil Show celebrates the music, the influences, and the artistry of Midnight Oil…as we share it with a new generation.

Only one woman in Australia Rock history commanded to attention, the controversy and the praise that found Chrissy Amphlett out front of the iconic Divinyls. From their formation in 1980 to the devastating passing of Chrissy in 2013, the Divinyls and Chrissy changed the face of music and paved the way for women of rock for years to come.  Melbourne’s own Drucindy Chin Quan is a ‘must see’ standout in the role of Chrissy and will certainly please the hardest critic and biggest fans.

It’s a night of non-stop Aussie classics featuring three big bands at one of Melbourne’s greatest live music venues.  Join Gold Chisel, The Oils Show and Temperamental: A Tribute to Chrissy Amphlett for this “Tribute to Oz Rock Royalty Rock” on Queen’s birthday Eve Sunday June 7.  Doors open at 8pm for an 8.30pm showtime with tickets available from the venue or Moshtix (link below).
