DUNE RATS – THE KIDS KNOW IT’S BULLSHIT

Australia’s favourite stoner-pop legends Dune Rats will release their second full length studio album, The Kids Will Know It’s Bullshit, on Friday February 3To coincide with the release, the band will be hitting the road on their The Kids Will Know It’s Bullshit National Tour, which kicks off in Freo next month and lands at the Croxton Bandroom for two exclusive shows on March 16 and 17.

The Dunies will be joined by special guests (and label mates) Skegss & The Gooch Palms on all dates. Tickets are on sale now from www.dunerats.tv

The Dune Rats spent most of 2016 touring overseas and locally, playing headline and festival shows, and can’t wait to showcase the new album to their ever growing fan base – some of which have stamped their loyalty in no uncertain terms with fresh Who’s Scott Green tatts!

The Kids Will Know It’s Bullshit features the singles Scott Green and Bullshitand is produced by FIDLAR’S Zac Carper. Recorded at Head Gap Studios in Melbourne, the album is the sound of Dunies working together with long time tour buddy and great mate (Zac) to work out exactly what sort of band they are, and making some rad tunes along the way. Written wherever they hung their smoking devices: in various beach shacks along the east coast of Australia, out in the middle of Joshua Tree and in a speeding RV along a US highway – the end result will be available in digital, CD and deluxe coloured vinyl formats.

Recently guys released their official interactive video for Scott Green, a first not only for Dunies but also for Australian music videos in general. The visuals take the viewer on a ‘choose your own adventure’-style journey through a house party, inviting them to choose which room the band will enter and how they will party. The aim is to help the band solve the mystery of ‘Who’s Scott Green?’ – If the joke hasn’t hit you yet, check out the boys’ Facebook page for more info.

Ratbag Records and Village Sounds present Dune Rats with Skeggs and The Gooch Palms at Croxton Bandroom on March 16 and 17. Doors open at 8pm and tickets are available from the venue or Moshtix.
