Children around Frankston will have the very special opportunity to Be A Snowlander For A Day”as they join the Snow Queen and all their favourite characters on stage for some freezing fun.

The story revolves around the chaos in Snow Land after the mischievous Evil Jester runs away with the Snow Queen’s magic wand.

Detective Super Winston tries but fails to save the day and has to call for help from friends Funny Bunny, Captain Carrot and Solly the Snowman.

Director Brian Laul said the highly interactive show featured plenty of singing, dancing and special characters that will enchant children as they help their favourite snow queen recover her lost magic wand so they can “all play in magical, falling snow”.

“Our shows are really about inviting kids to get up and move around, to relate to our music and to laugh and have a great time,” Laul said.

In the pre-show entertainment, kids can sing along to hits from the movie Frozen and are encouraged to come dressed up as their favourite characters.

As part of the show’s initiative to take drama workshops to regional Australia, the cast will conduct a Drama Workshop on Wed 30th morning from 9 to10am, introducing children to elements of tableaux, expression and voice.

These children will then get to show off what they’ve learned as they appear on stage as the wacky, colourful Snowlanders (or citizens of Snowland).

“It’s about making live theatre exciting for children and being able to share our knowledge in a way that they will remember”, Laul says.

Participation in the workshop is open to all interested local children, costs $10 and can be booked by calling 0401 030 463.

Snow Queen’s Aussie Freezing Show is presented by Youngstars2.com, the team behind the highly popular The Wizard of Oz Show that has done over 4000 successful shows around the world.

“There’s something new to delight parents and children alike and a great theme of hope and self-esteem for the young”, programme co-ordinator Christerine Laul says. She reminds children to come dressed up as their favourite

characters and to bring along a toy or book for the show’s Hospital Toy Appeal.
