Wow! When we were told only a few weeks back that the Seaford Hotel was undergoing renovations to the Clover Bar and rear Public Bar to make way for the new Seaford Bandroom, I’m not sure any of us expected this! With the removal of the center bar, two rooms have evolved into our newest local Live Music venue, featuring ‘state of the art’ sound and lighting, and full size stage to rival any of the surrounding music venues.
Kicking off opening celebrations this Friday Phil Para returns with his band to head up ‘Friday Night Blues Club’ from 8pm, continuing weekly in rotation featuring some of Melbourne’s finest Blues crews, including local standout Andy Phillips & The Cadillac Walk set to follow next week before the heavily anticipated return of Jimi Hocking with his band Blues Machine Friday March 27.
Thursday’s the Seaford presents Rewind 80’s in their full production, live, retro extravaganza, and already there are some of the biggest names in Oz Rock soon to be announced in some exciting headline shows for our newest live music venue, the Seaford Bandroom.
It certainly looks like Seaford Hotel’s presence will be felt amongst the huge resurgence our live music forefront is currently receiving.
