XAVIER RUDD NEW SINGLE & TOUR

XAVIER RUDD has premiered his brand new single “Come People” on triple j, broadcasting live with Veronica and Lewis on Wednesday afternoon. “Come People” is the first taste from Xavier Rudd & The United Nations’ forthcoming album Nanna (out March 13) and is available now iTunes.

Mixed by the legendary Errol Brown (who these days only works on projects he loves) “Come People” establishes the tone and vibe of Nanna; Xavier Rudd And The United Nations’ debut album (and Xavier’s eighth!). Rich in Tuff Gong tonal authenticity, Nanna is not just one of Xavier’s finest albums but some of Errol Brown’s finest work in a career that spans decades of producing the greats.
As with all the tracks on Nanna, at the heart of “Come People” is Xavier’s timeless songwriting. Straight out of the gate with a catchy chorus, “Come People” takes Xavier Rudd’s lyrical message and adorns it in hook after hook. The song slinks along with a seductive minor key swagger, to be given a spine-tingling lift as the key changes and Xavier sings “I held that little girl / She was a message in my dreaming / Bring my hands to namaste and I will graciously set you free”.
Following on from his massively successful 2012 solo record Spirit Bird, Nanna is a directional shift for Xavier Rudd, who gets to strap on a guitar and stand front-and-centre for the first time in his career. An exciting new chapter for both himself and his fans, Nanna is a dream project come to life for one of Australia’s greatest solo artists, who now looks forward to touring the world for the first time as front man of Xavier Rudd And The United Nations. “Come People” is the first global message from this one-people musical force.

THE NANNA TOUR hits the road across the country throughout MARCH/APRIL. Tickets on sale now from www.xavierrudd.com
