SOUNDWAVE FESTIVAL PLAYLIST

With Australia’s biggest music festival just around the corner, its time to prepare ourselves for the weekend that is soundwave. By blasting some of our favorite songs by our favorite artists this playlist will surely get you in the mood for the first ever two-day edition of the Soundwave festival.

Another Year- Animals as Leaders

Standing as the only instrumental band on the line up this year Animals as Leaders may be a band some would overlook to see. But after a listen to this track off their 3rd album The Joy of Motion, the incredibly talented trio may just end up on your to-see-list.

There There – The Wonder Years

Bringing their personal flavor of pop-punk to the shores of Australia, The Wonder Years are surely a band not to miss. Their track There There not only conveys a lot of the emotion that Dan ‘Soupy’ Campbell puts into his lyrics but also the type of sing along atmosphere that you can expect during their set.

The Negative One – Slipknot

How could you possibly have a soundwave playlist without one of the headliners? Back after only 3 years since headlining their last soundwave down under, the nu-metal giants will be tearing up the main stage with an array of song of their long awaited fifth album. The Negative One highlights some vintage Slipknot Riffs along with a chorus that is going to be sung very loudly across the nation.

Megalomaniac – Incubus

Bands that peaked within the 90’s often meet massive stylistic changes come the new century. Enter Incubus. From a fusion of funk and metal to rock. The track Megalomaniac, which derives from the later part of their catalogue is a standing hit with an infectious grunge filled chorus.

Knights Forever – The Bennies

Rounding off the playlist with local legends The Bennies, their track Knights Forever gives us a friendly reminder of the culture of mate ship that runs through Australia and will be surely seen throughout the Soundwave weekend.
